The girls from popular Japanese mega-idol group AKB48 are featured in the latest promotional video for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. I’m pretty sure this won’t come to North America or Europe, but I could be wrong. There might be some other awesome Mii Fighters for North America or Europe, so stay tuned. The clip opens with the Mii creation of Mayu Watanabe. She then “joins the battle” as a Mii Fighter, with her fellow idols Yuki Kashiwagi and Minami Takahashi also participating.
Watanabe proceeds to go fist-and-fist against Mario, before it turns into a massive AKB48-versus-Nintendo battle.
