With news that live action Ghost in the Shell is moving forward, the makers of the anime have taken to the official arise website to announce that a new anime film is indeed in production, and is due out next year. You can see the announcement above or on the website here. It is not yet known if this is a sequel to Arise, or if it will be an original story or who’s involved, but we should get more news soon. It is slated to open in theaters in Japan in 2015. Meanwhile, the fourth and final part of the Ghost in the Shell Arise OVA series will open on Saturday in Japan.
