Ah, Little Busters – one of Key’s most popular Visual Novels ever, if not the most. I don’t play Visual Novels, but I can whole heartedly say that I love any of their anime adaptations. Whether it’s Kanon, Air, Clannad or even Angel Beats, I love them all. Even if I’m not finished watching some of them yet. *sweatdrop* Fans having been demanding an anime adaptation for Little Busters for years, and now that they got what they wanted… they’re pissed.
Really?
Sure, the animation studio is J.C. Staff. Sure, they’re notorious for making some really crappy anime adaptations. Sure, they’ve only nailed it on certain occasions; Toradora, AnoNatsu, Honey & Clover, Railgun – all which were directed by Mr. Nagai himself. And now that it’s clear he’s not directing Little Busters, or that KyoAni isn’t making it, it’s alright to assume that the anime will be shit?
What the hell. Seriously.
In response towards the fandom backlash, Aspie Sincerity – a fellow blogger from “Kakera Complex” – expressed his discontent with with all this negativity, providing a detailed breakdown of as well as shedding light to the entire situation.
Let me say that I am beyond impressed. There’s someone out there who’s willing to stand above the rest, going as far as to invest so much time & effort into digging out this much information.
And all to get one single point across.
Rather that being spiteful, we should be grateful instead, and, more importantly, have faith in the decisions made by Key and anyone else involved in the production of the Little Busters anime. Isn’t this what all you fans have been wishing for all these years? Why wait until now to voice your complains and whines? All this negativity is completely and utterly baseless, and to all those fans who’re part of this, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
By the end of the day, it is Key & Visual Arts who’ve been wronged, not the fans. Fans that have looked into these things carefully and deeply considered the situation(s) are the only ones who should be making claims. The rest should wait and see before determining what’s bad and what isn’t.
Thanks for reading! ^_^
