How’s it going guys?! Sorry I haven’t been active for the past couple months. School and work took over but now I actually have free time to write and all that good stuff!
Shin Sekai Yori
“Wareta Ringo” by Risa Taned
Vocals
Nice clean vocals in this OP. I hate to say it but the instrumentals really stood out more than the singing.
7/10
Instrumentals
The DI guitar is legit. Soooo catchy. It has a nice tempo that doesn’t change around too much during the whole OP
9/10
Visuals
Not much going on here. It’s a nice background that sets the mood with the song. Very simple.
7/10
Overall
There is nothing that is too extravagant in this OP. In terms of both music and visuals, this is a very simple OP but it’s simplicity is done very well. I enjoyed this song.

Hiiro no Kakera
“Takanaru” (高鳴る) by Maiko Fujita
Vocals
The vocalist is the same chick that did the OP for the first season of this anime. She has one of those voices that are easy on the ears.
8/10
Instrumentals
I thought that the instumentals in here were a little lacking. The DI sounded a little generic and well, cheezy. Especially the string/chime combo.
6/10
Visuals
Average. Painfully average.
5/10
Overall
My opinion: Good song, bad overall OP

Tonari No Kaibutsu-Kun
“Q&A Recital!” by Haruka Tomatsu
Vocals
Foooook, I love Haruka Tomatsu. I like how this was a very upbeat happy ass song any yet it’s not bubblegummy. Her voice sounds way different from the Kannagi OP where I first listened to her.
10/10
Instrumentals
Awesome tempo and energy from the instrumentals! Liking the trumpet and the lack of DI in this OP
9/10
Visuals
The music is perfectly matched with the color and goofiness in the animation.
9/10
Overall
Excellent OP! Excellent Show! Now go listen to the full version

Kamisama Kiss
“Kamisama Hajimemashita” by Hanae
Vocals
The vocalist goes for a breathless and wispy kind of style that I really do not like.
4/10
Instrumentals
The instrumentals here have a jazzy flavor with a good helping of Asian styles
7/10
Visualization
Hmm, when I listened to the song without looking at the animation and I didn’t expect everything to be all…colorful. It isn’t bad by any means, it just feels out of place with the music.
6/10
Overall
Poor execution really brought down the OP
6/10
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai
“Sparkling Daydream” by ZAQ
Vocals
Pretty good vocals. They aren’t something that stands out but they’re pretty solid.
7/10
Instrumentals
The instrumentals didn’t really hook me.
6/10
Visualization
Awesome visualization. I do wish that they would stop switching between frames and just give us all the damn moe lol.
8/10
Overall
Dat finger spin
