Normally I wouldn’t waste my time announcing a sports manga getting an anime but this one surprised me.  Take a look at the above picture; it is a scan of the first volume of Te-Kyu.  There is an advertisement on volume 1 saying that it has been green-let for an anime adaption.  When I did further research Te-Kyu has only been running in a magazine for five month and the anime was decided before the first volume even came out.

Its pretty crazy that a manga was picked up so quickly for an anime, is it that popular?  I personally had never heard of Te-kyu before today.   Manga normally take years before it is picked up for an anime.  There is no date for the anime yet but when it comes out I think I will have to check it out based solely on how fast it was green-let.  It was very hard for me to find a synopsis of the manga; this is the best I could find, credit goes to crunchyroll.

“Te-Kyu features high school first-year schoolgirl Yuri Oshimoto who plays “straight-man” to the odd second-year members of the school’s tennis club. Members such as common-sense impaired Kanae Shinjo, world-traveling and a bit evil Nasuno Takamiya, and sweet, pretty, and a total hentai Marimo Bandou.”

It does sound a little bit interesting now that I think about I more.  But on another note the episodes are supposedly only 2 minutes long, not a lot of time to do anything.  Maybe it will be funny maybe it will suck, who knows.  Here are a couple of example of the shitty looking animation and character design they gave this series.

Character design is so bad lol, just look at how poorly drawn that sweat is!

Thanks for reading!
