Sukitte Ii na yo Episode 1 Thoughts

Hey guys it’s me again with another anime series that i’ll be reviewing for the blog. Sukitte Ii na yo is an anime that I’ve been wanting to watch since it was announced. I was expecting something like Kimi ni Todoke and somehow it was quite similar in a different way that is. Comparing both anime it has its similarities, like the main character(female, Mei) is somewhat similar to Kuronuma Sawako from Kimi ni Todoke. They are both lonely and doesn’t really have any friends at school, although both had different reasons.

Moving on to Sukitte Ii na yo, first of all i’d like to tell everyone that Mei is soo kawaii! I’m pretty sure she will look more adorable in the next few episodes to come. I’m not quite sure what happened to Mei in the past but i’m pretty sure it’s a bad one alright. I can’t really imagine not having any friends at school as you’ll need someone to socialize. I’d give her an award anytime for surviving school without having any friends up until now. As for Yamato, girls would definitely be fangirling over him alright. For now all I can say about Yamato is that he doesn’t like a normal typical girl, she is more interested in someone which is different, and that of course is Mei.

The anime has a lot of potential. It has some humour in it and i’m pretty curious about Mei’s past. It’s a good start for the show and i’m sure that the longer you watch this anime the better it will get. I’ve to admit that it wasn’t as good as the first episode of Tonari no Kaibutsukun, but like i’ve said it is going to get better. Sukitte Ii na yo is more realistic compared to Tonari though. The OST is cool and the character design are alright. I also like the fact that we don’t have people with light blue or purple hair. I like realistic hair colours. So yeah Sukitte Ii na yo is the 2nd anime i’m going to be reviewing on this blog. The 3rd anime is probably going to be Robotics;Notes. I’m definitely going to keep on blogging about this show.
