Sankarea Episode 9 Thoughts

Last episode’s cliffhanger made me look forward for to this one however it ended up being a filler! I can’t help but feel annoyed whenever I watch fillers. That’s probably because most of them are rubbish and have nothing to do with the story. Same goes for this one. The first half of the episode was sort of boring. Those stories were all cheap and made for the sole purpose of wasting the show’s time.

The second half was more promising though. If it weren’t for that then the whole episode would have been a failure! We got to learn something interesting, the fact that Mero’s mother was a zombie. And it also seems like she and Rea are alike. That explains Furuya’s grandpa reaction when she saw Rea. Speaking of reactions, Mero was really cute when she called Rea mama! She’s never showed this cute side of her. Up until now she was serious and pretty much emotionless. I am happy that she got more screen time!

But then again, I am still dissapointed with this episode. Even though we’re not sure how many episodes Sankarea will get it was still reckless of them to waste one episode on a filler. Especially when the previous episode was a cliffhanger! Fortunately , the next episode we’ll get back into the story! I’m really anxious to see what happened to Furuya and I know that so are you!
