Best Mirai Nikki episode ever! Yukiteru finally stopped being a wimp and Yuno mount an attack on Jonathan Bacchus (or Balks), the mayor of the city and the Eleventh Diary Owner. To have a hope in hell of doing this, though, they need reinforcements, and so they ally with Eighth and the older kids from her orphanage, which is about to be shut down by Bacchus. However… Yukiteru and Yuno turn on them and kill pretty much every one of them, but Eighth manages to get away at the last moment. A high-speed car chase then ensues (because er… 14 year olds can apparently drive better than police drivers) as they try to figure out just how Bacchus’ Diary works.

Eventually they drive off a high bridge and onto a side road (somehow surviving the fall) and are stopped by Minene and Akise. Akise has been digging around in Yuno’s past and even found her umbilical cord from her old orphanage. And wouldn’t you know, it matches perfectly with the third corpse. Yukiteru pulls away from Yuno and the episode ends there.

Yes, yes, yes. Future Diary is gearing up to have a rather high-octane ending and I just can’t wait for it. …So long as it doesn’t meander on pointless stuff like hot spring dates and stalkers in bunny costumes, no matter how funny they may be. Really satisfied with the outcome of this episode. Thanks for reading.
