Accel World Episode 9 Thoughts

It has been awhile hasn’t it?  I haven’t posted in two weeks.  I have a good excuse though, I have been really sick.  Also, where I am in the Galapagos the Internet sucks.  It is worse than dialup from back in the day.  Also where I am staying has no wireless, actually I have to walk 2km to find the closest working wireless.  It is hot as hell here, so walking to find Internet is a chore. For some reason none of the normal anime streaming sites work, the Internet isn’t able to load the video player.  This means I have to wait forever to download anime, and I mean forever.  It takes about an hour to download 50 megabytes…

Alright, so enough about my problems, lets get to Accel World.  I’m going to go out and say I didn’t like this episode and I am sorry if you disagree.  Where is the action?  That is all I want.  They could have combined last week’s episode and this episode together into one so that this week we could finally get to the damn plot.  We got some flashbacks about “Armor of Catastrophe” which is an external item that kills Brain Burst users.  And when I say kill, I mean it kills there in game characters, they are fine in real life.  It looks like the Armor is going to be the main antagonist for the next few episodes.  It must be strong if the Red King needs help dealing with it. I say that Kuroyukihime should be smart and backstab/dispose of the Red King immediately before dealing with the armor but she would never do that.

This episode was really just a waste.  Most of it was spent dealing with the childish bickering between Kuroyuki and Yuniko.  I personally don’t what to watch them all fighting about what to eat for dinner.  Hell, we still haven’t even heard the damn plan that is supposed to deal with the armor.  Next week we will probably have to sit around waiting for the plan.  Accel World seems to drag a little, I can’t imagine it as a 12 episode series but 24 might just be to long.

Well hopefully next week will be better.  Actually I don’t know if my information is correct but it looks like Accel World is taking a 2-week break and then next episode won’t be until June 15^th.  I could be wrong though so don’t take my word for it.  Thank you all for being patient with my posts.  Everything will be back to normal June 16th when I get back to the United States.
